Be aware of this company I subscribe 1 month for Cheltenham festival for £25 but now I been charged last 4 months when I called them they said it was for 12 month subscriptions which is totally a lia

I had a 12 month subscription but…
I had a 12 month subscription but separated from my wife and couldn't afford Sky. I phoned them up and they told I couldn't cancel my subscription because I can watch it on my phone? I then got in to a lot of debt due to moving out and my credit card got cancelled. Racing TV tried to take 2 payments unsuccessfully.

They are now calling me daily from the finance department. I explained my situation and said sometimes circumstances strange and I have no money to pay off the remainder of the contract. The women said I was lying and that anyone can just make up a change in circumstances. I said I have £90 until payday and she didn't seem bothered and wanted the money. I said I would remember this conversation whereby you called me a liar and wanted my final weeks wages to be used to pay off this subscription.

I would never recommend signing up to Racing TV, cancelling is hard and no empathy when being truthful about my circumstances.

AVOID! AVOID!
I mistakenly thought I had signed up to pay just under £25 a month, for a month’s subscription, just to watch Cheltenham Fedtival. This is how it looked to me on their website. No where was it made obvious this was a 12 month contract. I wouldn’t have committed to a 12 month contract had I known. I thought I would be able to stop the coverage and cancel at anytime. I swear this is how the offer was portrayed on their website for the Cheltenham Festival. Now that has all disappeared from the website and I can’t control my account from their App, you have to ring them.
Tried phoning to cancel subscription after they took the 2nd monthly payment, to be told I am legally now stuck in a 12 month contract and it’s my responsibility to phone them in February 2023 to give 30 days notice, otherwise they’ll just keep taking the payments! I will hear no correspondence from them!!
Absolutely disgusting company! I cannot believe they’re allowed to operate in this way in 2022. I now have to pay £25 a month for 11 further months for a service I don’t want!
I believe their website subscription promotions are very misleading and they do not warn you enough that it’s actually a 12 month contract you’re signing up for.
Thieves & Cowboys.
Disgusting company.
Avoid at all costs!!

Absolute crap!
Absolute crap!! If you are a punter and just want to read up on the events, form, and watch the racing, knock yourself out.
But if you are a trader where speed of the live feed is of the upmost importance... forget about it! I am trading the Grand National today at Aintree and have just counted a 15 second delay between Racing TV live feed and (free) Betfair live feed. What I load of crap!
I have been told its dependant on internet speed, and ranges between 4-8seconds delay. My speeds currently are "download" 62mbps, "upload" 58mbps, nothing wrong with that. If there was then why is Betfair streaming with approx a 1second delay. My software Bet Angel goes in play at the same time as Betfair... Racing TV is miles off!
The thing that really pees me off is that if you use the trial and go 1 day over, they automatically lock you into a 12 month contract that they say "sorry we can do anything about it!". Im sure this is a trading standards issue becasue they (YOU) are not delivery a product that I am satified with... thats now costing me about £300 for the year! P. take!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big time cheats !

Called them start of year told them they have increased prices from October but didn’t inform only now I saw they have increased from £9.99 to £24.98 .. They said they have no obligation to inform as £9.99 was 12 month deal price .. I said ok not fair but ok so cancel services I don’t want it at this price .. they offered another promotional offer for 12 months I said no thanks just cancel .. they said you have called on Feb 1 you paid on Jan 31 so we can’t refund you for 1 day used so you still watch channel till feb end and will get disconnected after that so no more payments ! Guess what March 1 they again charge me £24.98 , I call them up and they said oh will be last payment and end March end .. I have escalated and said this is fraud you agreed on last call that Jan 31 was last payment send me recordings of call .. no response didn’t get an recordings yet waiting !

Avoid at all costs.
I took part in the free trial. When the auto-renewal was approaching I emailed and requested the renewal did not take place. I was initially asked for further personal details, which I provided.
I then received a response stating that I must call them.
Due to my job (I work in the police), I explained that I was unable to call during the office hours. This email was completely ignored. They then renewed the subscription.

I sent multiple emails stating I did not want the renewal. I advised them they did not have permission to take money from my account. This was all ignored.

This company is in the stone age. Long gone are the days when businesses can force you to call company numbers to pressure sell their services.

I will be sure as many people as possible know to avoid this terrible company.

I’ve been a paying subscriber for 18 months. Contract was for 12 months. Now they’ve sold the made up ‘debt’ on to BPO debt collection agency. Avoid like the plague

Horrific Service all round
I requested my account to be cancelled ,it was kept running for two further payments . When speaking to customer service today I was told about their policies and how there would be no refund. The person I spoke to was abrupt and robotic, it was extremely bad customer service and an unpleasant conversation despite my well mannered responses . I was also invited to claim a ‘free day pass’ via my email and went ahead with this. When I logged in to use it, it wasn’t valid, so I called customer service and was told there was no such offer. I then bought a day pass for £10 so I could watch the Boxing Day racing , but when i logged in, it wouldn’t work ! Therefore, as I told the person this morning, neither myself or my partner will ever spend money with Racing TV again , absolute cowboys. Avoid .

Absolutely horrendous how disgusting my talk to people we purchased back in august a guy from sky told me he could cancel my subscription so i said please do as we did not use it anymore and when we did purchase the guy said u could cancel at any time .
Had a phone call this morning from racing tv and someone harassing me and telling me im wrong what his fellow employe told me should be closed Absolutely disgraceful

Cowboys - avoid subscription!
Absolute bandits this company. Make it near impossible for you to cancel the free trial before it ends and have already taken payment by that point anyway, then you're tied in for 12 months and they'll have it sent to BPO debt collections within a week for the full balance if you haven't made the first payment. Disgrace this lot.

Horrendous experience with Racing TV customer service. After 8 telephone calls the company stilld could not locate an old account and connect me to the 30 day free trail. They told me to contact sky for the old viewing card number and sky clearly stated they did not have this. The customer service team clearly have idea what they are talking about and are even clearly not trained or polite. in fact they are rude. How can a company like this exist with shocking customer services. All the other reviews on this page are true. They are cowboys and don't even have a technical support team who can help either. Stay clear!

Wish I'd read reviews first. Signed up about a week ago for free trial sub as didn't realise I could watch my bets online on my bookies site.

Just tried to cancel subscription (well within the 30 day trial) and agent said I had to call 2 days before the trial ends. What a load of rubbish. Doesn't say this on their site. He said it was their policy, I kicked up a stink, he put me on hold, eventually came back and said it had been cancelled. I asked for a confirmation email (as my trust in the company was 0 by this point) and he said no and I demanded it and he hung up. Probably not his fault, using the script he's given.

Absolute cowboys. On their site it actually says first payment may be taken before 30 day period ends. Think their tactic is this 2 day before cancel policy and start taking the money before then and then say the min 12 month period has started.

Absolutely disgusted by this company, feels like dealing with crooks.

Simply awful
Simply awful. I cancelled my subscription and sent a cheque for the pending balance. I started to receive debt collection letters from BPO for the princely sum of 34.98.

I phoned customer services several weeks ago and they acknowledged the mistake and promised they would contact BPO to stop the letters.

Did they ever .. The letters continue to arrive. Subsequent calls to customer services have reached as far as trying to get the person to understand my postcode-

This company is leaking customers and good faith-all races can be seen nowadays on any of the major web bookies-they try and encourage people to sign up to bookies where they will receive affiliate commission for punters referred.

The sooner they disappear the better.

I have emailed them asking for a letter confirming no debt is owed. watch this space.

A disgrace to the horse racing fraternity.

Awful company
Awful company. Ignorant to correspondence. I missed the cancellation by one day. Totally did not want their service for 12 months, so asked for another option to this ie 3 months perhaps. Got the standard you have this for 12 months reply. So I thought , I’ll forget about this. Cue the BPO bullies letter to pay the 12 months . Paid them. Requested to them I had paid my money, then the channel back on for rest of the term. Ignored again. Disgraceful customer service and bullies
